7.1 GBC Resolution Summaries
Puspa-Samadhis Restricted (301.01 — March 19, 2025)
Effective March 19, 2025: no new puspa-samadhis will be erected for any ISKCON member. Any senior Vaisnava whose followers wish to honor with a samadhi may erect only one, with GBC Vaisnava Memorial Standing Committee approval. Every ISKCON guru must include this instruction in their will.
Memorial Walls (441.02 / 441.03)
A memorial wall for Srila Prabhupada's departed disciples is being established at Mayapur — funded by Mayapur management. ISKCON centers globally are encouraged to allocate space for memorial walls honoring devotees who served honorably at those temples. Plaques: name, initiation date, departure date, photo.
Gaudiya Vaisnava Siddhanta Position Paper (307.04 — Nov 2024)
The GBC approved "A Concise Statement of Gaudiya Vaisnava Siddhanta for ISKCON" — a philosophical unity document allowing diversity of practical application. Based explicitly on Srila Prabhupada's books. Special recognition to HH Bhakti-vijnana Goswami and HH Badrinarayan Swami.
Birnagar Project (307.09)
The GBC will actively support the Birnagar Project Committee to fulfill Prabhupada's explicit desire to establish a temple and educational complex at Bhaktivinoda Thakura's birthplace. A 4.5-acre plot 300 meters from the current temple is being pursued. The Bhaktivinoda Gosthi has not agreed in 52 years. All fundraising requires prior written approval from local and regional leadership.

- Month 1 — Essay: 500-word reflection on the meaning of honoring departed Vaisnavas and what is lost when institutional standards around memorials slip.
