6.1 GBC Resolution Summary
The GBC reconfirmed in 2025 that the primary role of a siksa- or diksa-guru is to provide spiritual guidance. In matters outside their expertise, gurus are advised to direct devotees to seek guidance from "suitably qualified experts." This is a significant institutional clarification.

6.2 Prabhupada's Instructions

Prabhupada modeled the proper boundary throughout his ministry: he consulted doctors about health matters, lawyers about legal matters, and construction professionals about building — while maintaining his authority in spiritual matters. Domain expertise in scripture does not automatically extend to medicine, finance, or law.
